*When I became
director of public relations for Brescia University I wanted to give
its public image a make over that appealed to all groups, most
especially traditional students. Realizing that simple print and radio
/ television commercials would not be enough, I contacted
Gray Sky music to see if they would be
able to put a catchy melody with the face of Brescia. From the moment
we began brainstorming to the completion of the product I couldn't
have been more satisfied and pleased! The jingle has become so
'catchy' that even sales representatives from different markets call
me personally and tell me that they hear people singing the tune as if
they were singing a popular melody. I could go on and on for pages. I

I am so glad you were “inspired” by our little caricature and our “HEY NICK FIX MY CAR” slogan. It is by far the best marketing campaign we have ever had. -- Michael Hicks, Owner of A Unique Video Productions *In 1999, Owensboro Municipal Utilities (OMU) contracted with Gray Sky Music to write and produce a radio jingle that could be used in radio commercials, on the utility’s phone system and in other ways. Though I had some experience with radio production, I had never done a jingle and needed the help of experts who knew the medium. In only a few weeks, Gray Sky had produced OMU’s new jingle, “Local people, local service” and it was great. They produced several variations so that it could be used in different situations. Though I had first thought of the jingle as something that would be used for background music only, I was so happy with the final version that we ran many 30-second commercials with the jingle only. Matt and Nicole were easy to work with, used some of my ideas and produced the jingle in a very professional manner. Now, four years later OMU is still using the original jingle and it has been the backbone of its branding efforts.
